Pennant wind up for the season 2020-21
Our ladies had a great year finishing top of the ladder in their zone but just fell short of the pennant. Well done!
We fielded 2 men’s teams on Thursday, up from 1 for the last couple of years.
Our 2 Red side finished top of the ladder gaining promotion back to 2nd Division.
In the play off for the pennant, at the end of the game the scores were all square & we lost in a 1 end roll off.
A very credible effort to draw against the home team.
Our 6 Red side also had a very successful season, finishing in 5th, having 3 games 1 player short. Well done both sides!
Saturday, again we were able to put 2 teams on the field.
Our 2nd Division Got off to a good start but struggled throughout the season to finish with a big win over the reigning leaders to secure our position next year.
Out 5th Division played hard & dug in when it came to the crunch to finish in 5th position & held position for next year, Well done both sides!
With a number of new bowlers showing interest in the game of bowls we are hoping to improve next year.
If we can get the extra numbers we may even be able to request a higher 2nd side on both days, and the ladies are only a few short of being able to go up a division as well.
A big thank you to everyone who played and helped us to get through the year.
A special thank you to our “Star in the kitchen”, Don Ross, and the ladies who helped, The afternoon snacks were the talk of the reigon.
